Wow! I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve posted here. It’s been a wonderful summer, taking a class with Tom McCarthy (fabulous teacher!!!) at Idyllwild Arts in June, then teaching a copper metal clay class at Idyllwild Arts in July. Last weekend I participated in the San Diego Bead Society’s annual bazaar so I’ve spent a lot of time in the studio, my favorite place although I might make an exception for Paris. The one in France, not any of the other wannabes.
I wanted to share news about a beginning metalsmithing class that Connie Fox is planning. As many of you know, Connie is an incredible teacher. If learning traditional jewelry-making techniques interests you at all, I strongly urge you to seize this rare opportunity. Her beginner class is tentatively scheduled for Saturday/Sunday, August 25-26, at a cost of $195. Here is a link to read the class description: http://www.jatayu.com/class-beginning-fabrication-and-soldering/ If you are interested in this class at the August 25-26 slot, please email Christine at firstname.lastname@example.org asap to let Connie know. You’ll be glad you did.
