As a child, I was greatly impressed by Pippi Longstocking, particularly by the wonders that she pulled out of her magical chest of drawers. I’ve collected small treasures for years. It’s reached the point where storage has become a problem. I’m not saying I’m a hoarder. I can still see the floor except when I’m dealing with paperwork. But I decided last year that I had enough treasures that I could release some of them into the world.
These are the three most recent pieces I’ve made that were inspired by items from my collection. I’ve had so much fun designing and building them. This was the basis for the class I just taught at the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program. I will be teaching this workshop several times at different venues in the next six months. I’m working on my class schedule now and will post it tomorrow.
