Leo moves on

We lost our most beloved wonderdog Leo last night.  We had scheduled an appointment for noon today for a vet to come to us to send him on to the next part of his journey.  But Leo slipped away on his own, graceful in this as in all things.  Our home feels empty this morning without his smiling presence.  We will miss him so much.

    Jonna and Steve,
Leo lived a loving and comfortable life. You provided everything that made him happy. He will be sadly missed.

  9. Luise Sellier says:

So sorry for your loss. It is very difficult to lose a family member and even though you tell yourself he was “just a dog” go through the grief anyway. They are such faithful companions who give us nothing but unconditional love and loyalty. He was happy in your home and lucky to have found you ! And even though you may not want to hear this now wait just a little bit and get another dog. It was the best thing I(my son) ever did when my Zia past away. Actually my son brought Dock home and left the puppy with me to raise for “him”. Dock has been an angel who has saved my life twice already! But I still miss my Zia. Give Steve a hug for me.

    Love Luise

Jonna and Steve… I know the emptiness that follows the loss of a pet. The collar and tag of my Surrey, whom I lost in 1985, still sit on a corner of my computer desk here in front of me, but now it is a warm wonderful feeling of remembrance of a very special friend whenever I look at it. Leo will always be there within you.

Jonna, So sorry to hear about Leo he was a beautiful companion. He was so lucky to have both you and Steve taking care of him. Nice that he got to move on in his terms. This is always the most difficult part of owning and loving our pets. I will miss seeing him when I come for classes. Michelle Hurney Sent from my iPhone

I am so sorry to hear that you have lost your precious pet. I am also relieved to hear that he went on his own, just as mother nature would want. I hope my Puppy goes the same way.
