New Class, New Pendant

I’m excited about a new class I’ll be teaching here in my studio on March 15 and 16.  It focuses on collaging a variety of textures and shapes to create a dramatic pendant.  I just finished my second piece using this technique.  Here it is!

What I find most interesting is that I used most of the same shapes as in my first piece but came up with an entirely different pendant.  I added movement to this version by including links with almost hidden jump rings.  I also set a 5mm chrysoprase cabochon to give a little burst of color.  Of course, I included 24k gold accents because I love the look of mixed metals.  Unusually for me, no pearls this time!  The clasp compliments the look of the pendant.  All of these techniques will be taught in the class.

Here’s a photo of the first piece to “compare and contrast” as they used to say in my high school English tests.  Lots of pearls in this one!

There’s still room in the class if you’d like to participate.  Please contact me at jonnafaulkner@gmail.com for more information.
