New Work by My Fabulous Students

I just love teaching.  My students amaze and inspire me in every class.  It’s such a wonderful way to be in community, especially since I spend a lot of time in solitary making my own work.

This past weekend I taught a Goldie Bronze cuff bracelet class.  As you can see from the photos above, Pam Chereskin, Lisa McNamarra and Michelle Hurney did beautiful work, all in their own styles.  I can’t wait for my Dimensional Earrings class which is coming up on November 1 and 2, 2014.

Jonna, the colors are amazing! Are these the colors that occur as a result of the firing process?

    • Jonna Faulkner says:

Hey, Connie, Yes, for the most part they happen as part of the firing process. They aren’t predictable, however. Michelle Hurney used a metal coloring product to enhance the colors on her bracelet with the acorns and leaves. This material is so much fun to work with and I’m so impressed by the creativity all my students bring to the table even when they doubt themselves.

    So pretty, great job ladies!!!
