Every month I host an open studio day for a maximum of 8 students. This month I’m adding an EXTRA Open Studio, on a different day, by popular request. This provides an opportunity for participants to work on their own projects using my equipment. Of course, I will be on hand to answer questions and help students on an individual basis. Given sufficient notice, I can also demonstrate specific metal clay and other jewelry-making techniques. If you’re interested, please register early as there’s usually a wait list for these sessions.

Silver Metal Clay Basics
Saturday, November 23, 2019
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Jonna’s Home Studio
Escondido, CA
Learn many basic techniques for working with silver metal clay while creating several charms, small pendants or earring components in this workshop. Techniques covered include rolling clay to a desired thickness, two-sided texturing, appliqué layering, use of molds, simple stone setting, decorating with syringe-type metal clay, kiln firing, firing with a small, hand-held torch, and finishing.

Hi Jonna, The website is beautiful. I wondered if you have considered a class for bronze clay – without firing time. Since many of us have kilns at home, perhaps you could do a design/construction class and we can fire at home. Just a thought. Love you, Kamal
